I have used AT&T UVerse Internet for a few years with no issues. I recently moved to a new home and requested they transfer my service. I have a business that I run out of my home and use the Internet for my business at all times. Majority of business is dealt with through sending files back and forth over the Internet so it is CRUCIAL that service is never down.
It has now been 48 hours since I have been able to operate. I am writing this review from my phone. The AT&T phone guys successfully set up my new phone and fax lines. The UVerse Internet guy threw his hands up after being here three hours earlier this week, said he set up a helper ticket to get someone else to figure it out and I was told they would have someone here that day. That was over 48 hours ago. Since then I have sat on hold or explaining the same thing over and over to at least five different AT&T representatives for a total of over four hours when I need to be working. I have been passed around and told many different versions but mostly just me being told it's not their department but someone else's that needs to handle it. I now have a case number I was given by the "office of the president" - not that it has earned me one phone call to tell me when I will have service. I was told at the end of my 45-minute discussion that someone would call me back definitely in two hours or less. No call. I called back at 1:00 and asked to speak to the most senior person and I was transferred to the executive complaint department with office of the president. That was an hour phone call.
There is much more ridiculousness I have heard as excuses but my thumbs need a break from typing. V
